Morning Cup of Calm: Wishes for a restorative holiday season and a blessed new year

the heart of the matter

The rain is coming down hard. It’s midafternoon, but the gray light is dusklike. I’m cozy in my work-from-home uniform of sweats and fuzzy slippers. I have a lot to do but I keep staring out at the splashes and puddles. To me, It feels like Christmas.

I’m wrapping up my first full calendar year of running The Village Well. Of course it came with challenges, and pain points. Yet every single day, I feel the blessing and responsibility that so many of you have trusted me to bring you support, counsel, inspiration, and love on your parenting and family journeys. Look forward to many more positive parenting classes that we have in the works. Thank you for being a part of our community!

I’m the face and voice of this organization, but of course it takes a village to do all we do. Thanks and warm hugs to my colleagues: Jennielyn, Shalane, Carlos, and David for doing all that you do. Thanks to my family for inspiring me and giving me anecdotes for social media.

It’s been an incredible road to get here, and we are just getting started. Just wait for all we will offer in 2024.

I wish you a restorative holiday season and a blessed new year!

Be Well!
